When you learn your partner is pregnant, you obviously expect to welcome, at some point, a new person into your family. Keep in mind, though, that a baby widens your social circle beyond just you and your partner. Suddenly a whole bunch of people—parents, parents-in-law, aunts-and uncles-to-be, other relatives, her close friends—are an intimate part of your life.
