The College Park Aviation Museum
The Museum is located on the grounds of College Park Airport, the world's oldest continuously operating airport. The state-of-the-art facility uses animatronics and interactive exhibits, memorabilia, photographs, aviation-related books and manuscripts, oral histories, and information kiosks to tell the story of College Park Airport's significance in aviation history. The facility has a curved roofline reminiscent of an early Wright aeroplane that houses an open, one-and-a-half-story exhibit area for full-size aircraft, as well as display and exhibition areas. You can maintain the theme by dining nearby at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant (5240 Paint Branch Pkwy., College Park, 301-699-9400). It is designed to look like a 1919 French farmhouse and serves lunch and dinner daily.
