Necessary Items

There are items that are necessary for safe and comfortable travel. These checklists provide a guideline for those things you may want to bring along. Adapt them for your needs.

Kitchen (Galley)

Lightweight pots and pans (aluminum is good) with nonstick surfaces for easy cleanup

Mixing bowls that can be used in a microwave

Set of measuring cups and spoons

Pot holders and kitchen towels

Lightweight, unbreakable dishware (including drinkware) that can be used in the microwave

Heavyweight zippered plastic bags in various sizes

Lightweight utensils

Plastic wrap

Aluminum foil (heavyweight foil is generally wider)

Plastic containers with lids for food storage

Paper towels

Bathroom

Toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss

Shampoo and hair care products (repackaged in travel-size containers if possible)

Hand and bath soap

Towels and washcloth

Toilet paper

Cleaning Supplies

Small spray bottle of all-purpose cleaner

Cleaning cloths

Small sponges

ESSENTIAL

If you have a computer, type up a master checklist as a Word document and save it. Print out a copy and check off items as they are loaded into the RV. If you find there are other essentials for the trip that are not on your checklist, write them in and update the document when you get home. It may take a few trips to get the list finalized for your needs.
