Historic Longboard Ski Revival Series Races
The Eureka Bowl in Plumas Eureka State Park is the site for these races, which feature skiers in 1860s period costumes racing on 9-to 16-foot skis down one of America's oldest recorded ski slopes. Prizes are given for racing and attire. The event is held in January, February, and March, depending on snowfall.
Part of the December-through-March Olive Festival in Sonoma Valley Wine Country, this event brings together bartenders from Sonoma County wineries, restaurants, and other establishments in a contest to create the best new martini.
