Children's Museum of the Arts

This is one of the oldest museums of the visual and performing arts, and it's designed for children 12 and under and their families.

There are numerous activities designed for kids from 10 months and up. Children can paint, sculpt, and do collage in the Open Art Studio.

The museum offers both self-guided and docent-guided workshops where an artist-in-residence works with kids and their families.

Hours and Fees

Open Wednesday to Sunday, noon to 5 P.M.; Thursdays to 6 P.M.

Admission is $11 per person; children under one year are free. Pay as you wish Thursdays from 4–6 P.M. Admission covers all materials.

Wheelchair and stroller accessible. There is no eating facility in the museum, but the staff will direct you to many good family restaurants in the neighborhood. More information can be found on the museum's official website.
