Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo is really two destinations in one — the lobster-and-champagne Zona Hotelera of Ixtapa and the clams-and-beer, laid-back village of Zihuatanejo. As Mexico's second “computer resort,” it's set on 24 miles of palm-lined beaches and coves, with rolling surf and pounding breakers. There's not much to do but soak up the sun, play golf, and get away from it all. Here, after a couple of days, you'll sigh as you sip from the salted rim of a chilled margarita — “Ahhh, Ixtapa!”
