Ideally, you'll want to find accommodations that are located on or near a beach and that offer room configurations that meet your needs. Unless you're planning on renting a car, you also want to ensure that where you'll be staying is located near restaurants, activities, and shopping. This will help you avoid the need for many taxi rides.

For families staying for a week or more, renting a fully equipped townhouse or a villa that's located near a beach is often a cheaper and more convenient option than staying at a resort or hotel. Many full-service resorts, however, offer special family travel packages.
