Cancun is a famous spring break destination among college students for several reasons. First, it's relatively easy and inexpensive to reach from the United States. If you're staying at one of the more upscale resorts, such as the Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt Cancun Caribe Villas & Resort, or Hyatt Regency Cancun, it doesn't matter when you visit Cancun with your family. However, if you'll be traveling during a period when college students are typically on break and you're planning to stay at one of the less expensive (economy) resorts with your kids or teens, beware! The wild college parties tend to go round-the-clock, throughout the resorts and in all of the nightclubs and bars.
