If You Want to Buy

There is, of course, the chance that you will find yourself among the one in ten people who actually do want to purchase a timeshare unit at the end of the presentation — and perhaps with very good reason. Sometimes, the financial picture makes sense. Other times, you just want the peace of mind of knowing that your personal villa will be waiting for you during the same week every year. Still other times, you will feel comforted by the notion that you will have a network of rated resorts from which to choose for your vacation each year, instead of having to research every single vacation on your own for many years to come. Sometimes, you will simply fall in love with a resort and want nothing more than to return there, year after year, for many years to come.

Whatever your reason for buying on that day, rest assured that your salesperson will do everything in his or her power to make the process as easy for you as it can be. You likely will be taken into a separate office, so that your personal transaction will not become part of the conversation among the rest of the people who hear the sales presentation. Once you are in that separate office, your experience will be much the same as it is when making any other major purchase, such as a car or a home. You will have a good deal of paperwork to sign, a down-payment check to write, and literature to collect. And, hopefully, a big smile on your face, to boot.
