Exercising for Two
Just as it was in your pre-pregnant life, exercise is an important part of overall health now. If you have a regular exercise routine in place, keep it up, but check with your doctor to ensure it is not going to cause your baby any undue stress.
If you haven’t been exercising regularly until now, it’s a great time to start. You shouldn’t take up rugby now, but gentle exercise is probably fine. Always check with your doctor to be sure.
Some great exercise options for pregnancy include walking, low-impact aerobics, swimming, cycling, or yoga. Be sure you do not do anything that could result in falling or injury. Stay out of excessive heat, and be sure to keep hydrated.
