This jazz center features ongoing live performances (nightly) in a nightclub setting. It's also the home of the Down Beat Jazz Hall of Fame, which was established in 1952 and features such distinguished jazz luminaries as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dave Brubeck.

Over 500 pieces of memorabilia are on display. A light menu is served daily between 8:30 P.M. and 1:00 A.M. The Down Beat Jazz Hall of Fame museum is open from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. There's a small cover charge after 8:30 P.M. (which includes the live entertainment).
