Like all of the Disney theme parks, you'll find many gift shops and souvenir kiosks scattered throughout Disney's Animal Kingdom. Sure, you'll find a wide assortment of Disney's Animal Kingdom logo merchandise, along with plenty of T-shirts, plush toys, and other items featuring Mickey dressed in a safari outfit, but you'll also find a great assortment of non-Disney-based items that make excellent souvenirs or great gifts.

All of the gift shops accept cash, credit cards, checks, traveler's checks, and Disney Dollars, along with your hotel room charge card (your room key, if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel). The souvenir kiosks and carts accept cash, checks, and traveler's checks only.

Keep in mind that much of the merchandise sold at these shops is available only within this park and can't be purchased at the shops in Downtown Disney, from the Disney Stores, or through the Disney Catalog. You can, however, purchase most items sold exclusively at the park by calling (407) 363-6200 during business hours. You must, however, know exactly what item(s) you want to purchase and be willing to pay by credit card.

When you make a purchase, you can take your merchandise with you (and carry it around the park), arrange to have it delivered to the park's exit so that you can pick up your purchases on your way out, arrange to have the purchase delivered to your WDW Resort hotel, or, for an additional fee, you can have your purchases shipped anywhere in the world. If you arrange to have your packages delivered to the park's exit, keep in mind that on busy days, it could take up to ninety minutes for your packages to arrive, so plan accordingly. Likewise, if you're having packages shipped, even if you pay FedEx charges, it might take up to several weeks for your purchases to actually get shipped.
