Beware of Counterfeit Passes and Scams
Up until recently, non-Disney tourist centers made a lot of money buying and selling unused passes for the WDW Resort. If a family purchased Five-Day Park Hopper passes, but used only three of the days on each pass, independent ticket agencies would purchase the unused days at a fraction of the true value, and then resell those passes to other tourists to earn a profit.
Recently, however, the Walt Disney Company began using new technology to print and issue passes for the Disney theme parks that prevents counterfeiting, unauthorized ticket brokering, or illegal ticket scalping. As a result, to protect yourself, do not purchase any admission passes to any Disney theme park (for any price) from any unauthorized ticket agent.
The safest places to purchase your admission passes for the Disney theme parks are from your own travel agent, directly from any WDW Resort ticket counter (on Disney property), from a Disney Store, or from Disney Online.
