You'll find numerous shopping opportunities on Kauai. Lots of little stores can be found in small towns, and there are both trendy and modest shops around the tourist centers. Here are some major centers where there are significant concentrations of shops to keep you spending your money:
Poipu Shopping Village: You'll find loads of shops and restaurants at the Village. It also hosts a Polynesian Revue every Tuesday and Thursday at 5 P.M. Open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 A.M.–9 P.M. and on Sundays from 10 A.M.–7 P.M. 742-2831
The Harbor Mall is located at Lihu'e's Nawiliwili Harbor. www.harbormall.net
Hilo Hattie's, with its wealth of Hawaiian clothing and other island goods, has a Kauai outlet located at 3252 Kuhio Hwy. in Lihu'e. It's open every day from 8:30 A.M.–6:30 P.M. www.hilohattie.com
The Coconut Market Place is found off the Kuhio Hwy. in Kapa'a and features more than 60 shops and restaurants. There is entertainment daily at 5 P.M., including a hula show. The Market Place is open Monday through Saturday from 9 A.M.–8 P.M. and Sundays from 10 A.M.–6 P.M.
