Up in the Air

“Flight-seeing” is common on all four of the main islands, with different highlights to be found on each. On the Big Island, a look at the volcanoes from around and above is a real attraction, as are some of the beautiful valleys in the Kohala mountains. If there is flowing lava to be seen, you'll probably get the best view from the air. Both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters operate on the island.
