Kona-grown coffee is some of the best in the world, and some of the coffee farms and processors welcome visitors for a look and a taste. You'll find macadamia nuts growing on the Big Island as well. The well-known Mauna Loa Co. in Hilo would love to educate you on the subject of the macadamia.

In the coffee industry, some providers will label a product as having its origin from one place or another even though only a fraction of the mixture comes from there. When buying Kona coffee, read the label to make sure it says 100-percent Kona to be sure that you're getting the real thing!
