Located along a central thoroughfare between the Disneyland Hotel and the Disney theme park entrances, Downtown Disney adds a fun twist to the dining and shopping experience all day long, with a wide range of family-oriented restaurants and cafés, plenty of upscale shopping, and a handful of attractions.

Whether you want to relax and have breakfast before spending a day at one of the Disney theme parks, enjoy a sit-down lunch or dinner, or need a late-night snack, Downtown Disney offers many dining options.

TRAVEL TIP

As soon as you arrive at Downtown Disney, pick up a free Downtown Disney Show Schedule, available from any information kiosk (not the merchandise kiosks) or ticket counter. It will provide you with special event show times and let you know what's happening during the week at ESPN Zone, House of Blues, AMC Theatres, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, and other locations.

If you don't find the perfect gifts and souvenirs in the Disneyland or California Adventure, you may find them in the many shops of Downtown Disney. Some of these shops are exclusive to Downtown Disney, while others (like Illuminations and Sephora) are chain stores.

When it comes to entertainment, many of the restaurants offer live shows, and the AMC Theatres boast a dozen state-of-the-art theaters showing the latest movies. The House of Blues contains an indoor theater where well-known recording artists perform.

Lovely landscaping that includes fountains and waterfalls surrounds the shops, restaurants, and attractions.

JUST FOR PARENTS

Downtown Disney lights up at night and offers a festive atmosphere for an evening stroll, an alfresco meal, or a quick shopping spree. Kids and adults enjoy the buzz and like listening to the street performers.

There is no separate admission charge to visit Downtown Disney, and anyone can visit it at any time.
