Your Budget

As you plan your trip, it's important to establish a basic travel budget and stick to it. Once you reach your destination, you'll no doubt be tempted to dine at fancy restaurants, buy souvenirs, and participate in other potentially costly activities. When you create your budget, set aside some money for these splurges.

Use the following checklist to estimate the cost of your trip to the Disneyland Resort and Southern California.

It's quite possible that your first estimate will be more than your planned budget. The cost-saving tips in Chapter 2 and in the rest of this chapter will help you reduce the total.

TRAVEL TIP

If your vacation includes other Southern California attractions besides the Disney parks, you can save a lot of money with a City-Pass www.citypass.com. It bundles a three-day Disney Park Hopper pass with tickets to SeaWorld, Universal Studios, and your choice of a ticket to either the San Diego Wild Animal Park or the San Diego Zoo. The pass costs $235 for adults and $189 for children. If you're planning to visit all the attractions, you'll save $60 to $80 per person.
