This Disneyland landmark has been here since the beginning, and it boasts a tropical, sandy beach and fine restaurants. Its 990 rooms are at the end of Downtown Disney, a short walk from the Disney theme parks. The sixty-five-acre hotel complex offers convention and meeting facilities but also caters to families traveling with kids and teens.
The Disneyland Hotel offers a wide range of amenities and activities: three swimming pools, including the Never Land pool (which features tropical landscaping, a 110-foot water slide, a pirate ship, and the “mermaid lagoon” spa). You'll also find several souvenir gift shops, clothing boutiques, and a fitness center.
Disneyland Hotel Dining
Popular fine-dining options, ideal for romantic dinners or for celebrating special occasions, include Granville's Steak House (steaks, prime rib, poultry, and fresh Maine lobsters) and Hook's Pointe (mesquite-grilled American cuisine served in an upscale atmosphere, with a wine list that includes more than twenty-five acclaimed California wines).
JUST FOR PARENTS
You don't have to stay at a Disney-owned hotel for your kids to enjoy one of the famous character breakfasts. Anyone can walk into any of the hotel restaurants and dine there, and you can also have the same experience (and for less money) inside the parks at Ariel's Grotto in California Adventure or Disneyland's Plaza Inn.
While the upscale restaurants have kids' menus, younger people and their parents may prefer less-formal Goofy's Kitchen, which offers a popular all-you-can-eat buffet and serves breakfast with Disney characters.
For a light snack or cup of coffee, try the Coffee House, Captain's Galley, or Croc Bits 'n' Bites.
Disneyland Hotel Guest Rooms and Rates
Rates vary by season and the room's view, but for one or two people in a room, rates start at $250 to $350 per night for a standard room.
The Disneyland Hotel is the only Disney property that provides rollaway beds, and there's no additional charge for them.
Fans of the Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean may enjoy the Disneyland Hotel's special Pirates of the Caribbean suite, if they have a big enough budget.
Guest Services and Perks at the Disneyland Hotel
Optional guest services include child-care services, self-service laundry facilities, and a fully equipped business center.
