The lush scenery and ideal weather at most of Coastal Florida's hundreds of golf courses make it hard to concentrate on your game. Florida has more courses than any other state. Here, golf is a year-round sport, with many exciting and challenging courses laid out by top-name designers. You'll find superb golf available in or near all of Coastal Florida's primary resort destinations. Each has its own personality, often with seashore vistas or tropical woodland borders. Some even have wetlands with live alligators.

Florida has over 1,000 golf courses to choose from, and over 800 of those lie on or near the coast. The coast of southwest Florida offers the most courses at 239, with the coast of southeast Florida a close second at 233 — and new ones are being built every day. Greens Fees and Club Rentals

Greens fees, including cart rental, vary from as little as $39 in the off season at some courses to over $210 in peak season at some of the championship ones that host PGA tournaments. Most courses offer clubs for rent for about $40 to $60.
