Creating Studies to Present Evidence
There are a lot of people who believe in the afterlife and don't need any evidence to prove that it exists. But there are others who want to be convinced about the existence of the afterlife and conduct rigorous scientific experiments to look for its evidence. Such people can be used to conduct afterlife experiments and observe the evidence themselves. Here is an overview of different methods to collect afterlife evidence.
EVP
Electronic voice phenomena, or EVP, is also a widely used technique to look for evidence of the afterlife. EVP recordings are usually made by increasing the sensitivity of the equipment being used to record the voices in the background. The most important part of conducting a reliable EVP experiment is to use an isolated area or a quiet room so that the possibility of stray noises is minimized. As far as the equipment is concerned, you can go for a portable digital voice recorder, but make sure that it is good quality. You should also keep in mind that it is not easy for everyone to understand the voices recorded in EVP. You have to listen carefully and patiently. With some practice, you'll be able to detect words and phrases in the recordings. There is computer software on the market that can help you cut out the background “white noise” and increase the quality of your recordings.
Using Mediums
Gifted mediums can help you communicate with your dead relatives. There are different kinds of mediums, and one type that can create reliable evidence is direct-voice mediums. These mediums can relay communication from a dead person in the deceased's own voice. It may not be easy to find such a medium to conduct the experiment, but if you are fortunate, you may be able to arrange such an experiment. The voice can then be analyzed to show that it came from a source other than the medium's voice box. Other mediums that can bring through personalities, physical traits, and specific evidence are great to utilize and may be easier to find and work with.
Out-of-Body Experiences
Out-of-body experiences, or OBEs, have been observed for centuries, and highly consistent experiences have been reported throughout the world. Although many of these experiences have been spontaneous or involuntary, it is possible to induce and consciously control an OBE. There are several teachers who train people to induce an OBE. It is usually achieved by learning to fall asleep without losing mental wakefulness, practicing lucid dreaming, and learning to get into a deep trance. Successfully achieving an OBE shows that the human body is separate from the entity that contains consciousness. When the body dies, there is no reason for this separate entity to also cease to exist. After death, it can enter into the afterlife where it can exist without the body.
It is important to be able to furnish all the necessary records of your study. This means you must look at each study with an open mind and record all of the basic data surrounding the event or subject. Without this your studies might not be taken seriously.
Studying Experiences of Others
Besides these firsthand experiments, you can also carry out studies of phenomena experienced by others. Prominent phenomena that directly act as evidence of existence of afterlife include:
Xenoglossy, where a person is able to speak or write a particular language without ever having learned it or having been exposed to it
Viewings of apparitions and other signs of the presence of a dead person
Near-death experiences, where a person comes back from the dead and has a vivid memory of that experience
Spontaneous recall of past life, where a person starts narrating accurate facts, including places and names, about her past life
When carrying out studies of secondhand experiences, make sure that you record all the facts correctly. Carefully interview those who witnessed the phenomenon and the person who experienced it. Be rigorous in your research so that it can stand up to the scrutiny of a skeptic. Always remember that just as there are many believers in the afterlife, there are also many critics, and to be able to convince them, you need evidence that can withstand a scientific trial.
