Throughout history almost all cultures and religions have reported the ability to connect with entities from the nonphysical world. Some have called it communicating with the angels or with teachers, and some claim to connect to other humans after their physical deaths. Mediumship has been referred to in many ways, depending on culture and time of practice. From group settings to one's individual connection of prayer, communication with the afterlife has been and continues to be a fascinating and controversial subject.
