The chief complaint you may have about Five parents is that they don't seem very interested in you. Many Five parents are naturally reclusive and like to be alone; they might be surprised to hear you complain about their being absent. They often create a world of their own, whether it's spending the majority of their time in a library or science lab conducting research or earning yet another college degree. Fives may have trouble identifying with small children, but often engage with their children when the children become teenagers and can mentally challenge the Five parent. Five parents usually appear very rational and can feel somewhat detached, which can leave a child feeling as if he isn't important enough to be interesting to his parent.
