This chapter offers a brief overview of each of the nine personality types in the Enneagram. The purpose in having you meet all nine types at one time is that it will help you integrate the information quicker. Also, the Enneagram is a complicated and complex system that will be easier to learn if you have the same ideas reframed in succeeding chapters, delving each time a bit farther into the comprehensive theory. Succeeding chapters offer an in-depth analysis of each type as well as explain key concepts, such as security points and stress points, wings (how they affect each type), and instincts (how each type favors one primary instinct).
