You always succeed by putting forth the effort and trying to bring yourself to a healthier place, no matter how small the increments. Just by counting yourself in, you will accomplish your goals at your own safe speed. If you need to stop and rest and resume another time, that's okay. Always make sure you are eating and drinking enough. Many times with new foods you need to try them out. If a food doesn't work for you, try another or take something easy, familiar, and healthy like a banana, apple, brown rice, whole-grain pasta, or 100 percent fruit or vegetable juice.
