The phrase “don't worry, be happy” is often used, and was even part of a popular song. The message behind that phrase is to be upbeat, easy going, and forget about rushing along. But that is a state of being that many people find difficult to achieve because they often find themselves under pressure and constrained for time. And that all makes for stress and tension. The tensing up that you can see in your mirror is not only a reflection of your outer appearance but your inner body processes as well. When you're tight and stressed it can be difficult to “not worry and be happy” and you can wind up on a downward spiral of the blues. But cheer up, because studies have indicated there are many nutrients you can easily find in foods that can break that vicious cycle, and work on the body's processes to help you feel better, improve mood, and return a state of balance and calm.
