Following is a list of celebrated drummers together with one or two album recommendations. Unless stated otherwise, the recordings listed are albums by the drummers themselves. There are many other important drummers, who, for lack of space, have not been included here. However, this list should serve as a good starting point when learning about the rich history of drumming.
