Grooming your dog is very important. Why? Because the more time you spend taking care of your dog, the happier, healthier, and (you hope) longer her life will be. Does Rover like getting a bath? Not always. Does Spot like getting her toenails clipped? Not likely. But both things are preferable to having stinky, matted coats that are infested with fleas or toenails so long they curl under and pierce the foot pads! These are extreme examples of lack of grooming, but things like this happen. Not to your dog, though.
