The more experience you have as a photographer, the better your pictures will be. While taking a basic shot is simple — just point and shoot — taking a really striking picture requires that you understand a number of variables and be able to put them together in fast-changing situations. This sense of timing is so important that Henri Cartier-Bresson, the famous French photographer, called the moment that the shutter is snapped “the decisive moment.” This is the moment where movement, expression, light, and composition come together to create a photograph.
