Working Tips for AA Batteries

No matter what kind of AA battery you choose, you need to be aware of some important considerations:

  • Never mix old batteries with new batteries; you will go through the new batteries quickly, and mixing can also cause bursting or leaking.

  • Never mix different kinds of batteries, such as rechargeables and disposables, or rechargeable batteries with different capacities.

  • If you are not going to use your camera for a while (two weeks or longer), take out the AA batteries; when you restart your camera, put them all back together into your camera as a group.

  • Have a way of marking or storing your batteries so that you know which batteries have been partially used and which have not.

  • If you buy a brand of battery that shows signs of leakage, never buy that brand again.

  • When storing batteries, check that the positive and negative ends do not touch.

  • When replacing batteries, make sure you put them in the battery compartment in the correct way according to the instructions; placing batteries incorrectly can damage some cameras.
