Maybe you've decided you want to make CDs of your music, but you don't know how you're going to sell them online. Never fear. CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com) is another Internet site for distributing your music. Originally designed as a site for musicians to sell their CDs, CD Baby also sells downloadable MP3s. CD Baby handles things a little differently than TuneCore. They handle most of the work, and as a result they charge a little more. You send them five CDs, and they open one, rip and upload the music, scan the artwork, and create a webpage for your album. This costs you a one-time $35 fee as of this writing. They also take 9 percent of every MP3 sale and $4 of every CD sale, but you are allowed to price your music as you see fit.
