Little Ones
Flower girls and ring bearers. Chances are you're either set on having them at your wedding or you're opposed to the idea, depending on what kind of performances you've seen by children in these roles in the past.
Obviously, before you decide to include children in your ceremony, you have to consider whether your chosen wedding site is kid-friendly: Most cruise ships are, while resorts vary. Also, if you're asking a friend or relative's child to be in the wedding party, remember that this means added expenses for the parents of the child (who may not have brought their tyke on this trip otherwise). It might be nice for you to pay for the flower girl's dress or the ring bearer's suit as a way of cutting their costs.
E~Question
What do children attendants do?
Traditionally, the ring bearer walks down the aisle after the last bridesmaid, but before the flower girl. The ring bearer holds a pillow with rings tied to it. Most couples opt for decorative rings, as they don't fully trust this little kid (cute as he is) not to lose their wedding bands.
Traditionally, the bridesmaids walk down the aisle first, one by one; they're followed by the maid of honor, the ring bearer, the flower girl and (last but hardly least), the bride. However, you can have your littlest attendants walk down the aisle together or before the maid of honor. Just make sure you've made arrangements for very young attendants to be seated with a caregiver
