When reviewing job postings, you will find announcements that do not reveal the name of the employer. These are confidential postings or, as they have been called in the past, “blind ads.” They are either posted by search firms or by organizations that do not want their recruiting efforts to be public knowledge. These are sometimes frustrating for job-seekers, but they shouldn't be. Don't be concerned with the company name. Focus on the job title and function. Follow-up can be done for confidential postings as well as employer-identified postings.
