Graham Cracker Houses

Try making these during the holidays to create festive, decorated creations. Put your house on display or gobble it up!

DIFFICULTY: EASY

One house of your very own design

4 or more graham cracker rectangles

½ cup peanut butter

Various tubes of decorating icing

Candy shapes like gumballs, gumdrops, chocolate chips, Hershey's Kisses, M & M candies

Cookie decorations like candy sprinkles, stars, and silver balls

  • Place a graham cracker on a flat surface.

  • Spread a thin layer of peanut butter along all four edges.

  • Stand another graham cracker upright on one edge of the first graham cracker, using the peanut butter as the “glue” to hold your house together. Repeat with other graham crackers, using more peanut butter as necessary, until you have a house.

  • Add decorating icing, candies, and sprinkles to complete your home. Placing the candies and sprinkles in a muffin tin will keep you organized and make them easier to access.

Snack Attack

If you are planning to snack on your house, do so within a day or two of making it, as the icing and candy will harden and begin to get stale.
