Edible Finger Paints

This is an easy project for a rainy day. Not only will you enjoy creating it, but maybe your parents will take part in the fun, too. Use plain paper or coloring books to show off your creativity and enjoy your creations!

DIFFICULTY: EASY

Makes about 2 cups of paint

1 3.9-ounce package instant vanilla pudding

2 cups cold water

Food coloring

  • In a large bowl, use a whisk to combine the pudding mix with the cold water.

  • Pour the mixture into a muffin tin or several small bowls.

  • Stir several drops of food coloring into each bowl to make different colors.

  • Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes before painting.

WORDSKNOW

edible: able to be eaten

Play It Safe

Know where to find things and where to put them away. By keeping everything in its place, you will have a clean cooking area, and you won't lose things.

Even though this “paint” is edible, remember that lots of hands and fingers have been in it. After painting and playing with the paints, you probably want to limit the amount that goes into your mouth.
