Classic Caesar Salad

Caesar salad is light and fresh, and in addition to being a meal by itself, it goes very well with simple dinners like grilled steak or Italian foods like Fettuccine Alfredo (Page 73).

DIFFICULTY: EASY

Makes 2 servings

1 small bunch romaine lettuce, or about

2 cups torn up

2 tablespoons freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

½ cup croutons

2 tablespoons bottled

Caesar salad dressing

  • Wash the romaine lettuce.

  • Tear the lettuce into small pieces and place it into a large bowl.

  • Top with Parmesan cheese and croutons.

  • Using serving utensils, toss salad dressing into the salad and serve immediately.
