Crispy Sesame Chicken Tenders
This gives you loads of flavor for very few calories. If you and your family are addressing problems of weight, serve this as a snack. High protein, very low fat, and no sugar!
YIELDS 6 SERVINGS; SERVING SIZE 3 PIECES
INGREDIENTS
- 6 chicken tenders (totaling 1 pound)
- ¼cup soy sauce
- Juice of ½ lime
- 1 teaspoon Splenda
- ¼teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½cup white sesame seeds
Cut the tenders in bite-sized pieces.
Mix the next four ingredients in a resealable plastic bag. Add the tenders and shake to coat the chicken. Let marinate for 20–30 minutes.
Preheat the broiler to 350°F. Prepare a cookie sheet with nonstick spray or coat it with aluminum foil.
Sprinkle the sesame seeds on a piece of waxed paper. Drain the tenders. Press the chicken pieces into the seeds on wax paper. Discard the marinade.
Broil, turning occasionally, for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 225°F; bake for another 5 minutes. Serve hot.
