If you are having trouble administering medicine to your dog, try concealing it in a piece of liverwurst. Soft and malleable, the liverwurst will easily hide the tablet.

1. Place the shredded wheat in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to crush it into crumbs.

2. Place the liverwurst and cream cheese on a plate and mash them with a fork until smooth and combined.

3. Pour the shredded wheat crumbs into a bowl. Add the liverwurst — cream cheese mixture to the crumbs. Mix until combined but still soft.

4. Roll the liverwurst mixture into small balls, about the size of a gumball.

5. Store them in a resealable plastic bag in the refrigerator up to one week.
