Texas-Style Beef Skillet for Dogs Recipe
If your dog can't tolerate corn, you can substitute cooked rice, couscous, pasta, or even mashed potato. And of course you can substitute chicken, turkey, lamb, or pork for the beef.
YIELDS ► 16 servings
SERVING SIZE ► 2 tablespoons
RECOMMENDED FOR ► Quick and easy
- ½ pound lean ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 cup corn niblets
- ½ cup crushed tomatoes
In a heavy skillet, sauté the ground beef and garlic until the meat is browned and no longer pink. Drain any fat from the pan.
Place the corn and crushed tomatoes in a food processor and pulse two or three times. Add the corn-tomato mixture to the cooked beef, stirring to combine.
Serve over kibble, thinning with beef broth if desired.
