Eggs Florentine for Dogs Recipe

Traditional Eggs Florentine would involve cracking an egg over a bed of creamed spinach, topping it with cream, and baking it in the oven. This version is faster, easier, and eliminates the cream.

YIELDS ► 2 servings
SERVING SIZE ► ½ cup
RECOMMENDED FOR ► Quick and easy, Wheat- and gluten-free

  • 1 organic egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 tablespoon Romano cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons organic chicken broth, cold
  1. Use a fork to beat the egg in a glass measuring cup with the chopped spinach and grated cheese. Pour the mixture into a buttered ramekin and cover it loosely with a piece of waxed paper.

  2. Cook it in the microwave for 1 minute at medium heat. Check the doneness of the egg and turn the ramekin, and cook another 30–45 seconds at medium heat.

  3. Add the cooked egg mixture to your dog's bowl. Break the egg apart with a fork and add the chicken broth to help cool the mixture.
