Dog Birthday Bacon Crumbles Recipe
These no-bake treats can be made with any bacon, cheese, or peanut butter-flavored biscuit you have available. Keep the crumbles small and store them in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve them.
YIELDS ► 40 crumbles
RECOMMENDED FOR ► Quick and easy
- ¼ cup unsalted natural peanut butter
- ¼ cup cream cheese
- ¾ cup Peanut Butter, Carrot, and Wheat Germ Biscuits
- 4 pieces Applegate Farms Sunday bacon, cooked and crumbled
Combine the peanut butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Mix on medium speed using a paddle attachment until combined.
Place the biscuits in a plastic bag and gently crush them into small crumbles with a rolling pin.
Add the bacon and broken biscuits to the peanut butter and cream cheese mixture, and mix until just combined.
Wet your hands and shape the mixture into small cubes or rounds.
Store the crumbles in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Easy Substitutions
You can always revise a recipe to suit your dog's palate or food intolerances. You can substitute unsweetened coconut for bacon. If you don't want to add cheese, use cooked rice. Try mashed sweet potato instead of peanut butter. Just make sure to add enough biscuit crumbles so the mixture will retain a shape.
