Steamed Plums

Wash the plum. Peel and remove the pit; then cut into thin slices.
If the plum is already ripe and very soft to the touch, you're done!3. If the plum still feels firm, place in a steamer basket in a saucepan. Add enough water so that it fills the pot under the steamer basket.
Bring to a boil and then steam until tender, about 5–8 minutes.
Let the plum slices cool, and then serve as finger food.
