Fruit Yogurt Smoothie

Why should the older children have all the cool summer drinks? As your baby gets older, she'll get more and more insistent upon having tastes of everything that everyone else consumes, including drinks! This is a recipe that the entire family can enjoy together.

4 Servings

1 cup plain whole-fat yogurt

1 ripe banana

½ ripe peach

½ cup fresh or frozen strawberries

  • Peel the banana, removing any brown spots. Cut into chunks and place in food processor or blender.

  • Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Cut in half and place in food processor.

  • Wash the peach and cut in half. Remove the pit and skin. Cut into chunks and add to the food processor.

  • Add the yogurt and purée until the smoothie is completely blended. Run through a fine sieve to remove any strawberry seeds.

Substitute with Soy

If your child appears to have an allergy or intolerance to dairy products, feel free to substitute soy yogurt for regular. Make sure that your baby doesn't have a soy allergy — serve her regular soy yogurt alone before mixing it into a fruit smoothie.
