Chicken and Apples

Chicken and apples is a great combination for babies. They love the sweet apples, and you can feel good that they're getting some much-needed protein from the chicken. This healthful meal can be served either warm or cold.

2 Servings

1 small apple

½ cup cooked chicken

  • Wash and peel the apple; then cut into small pieces.

  • Place the apple in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring the water to a boil; then cook for about 20 minutes, or until the apple is very tender.

  • Combine the chicken and apple on a plate. Fork-mash until tender.

  • If the mixture is too thick, add the leftover cooking water from the apple, 1 teaspoon at a time.
