Fruit Parfait

A parfait is a fun summery dessert that is suitable for toddlers, older children, grownups, and guests alike. This recipe omits a crunchy topping that may be unsuitable for young eaters, but feel free to top it with baked oats or granola.

2 Servings

½ cup heavy whipping cream

3 ounces cream cheese

¼ cup sugar

½ cup strawberries

¼ cup blueberries

¼ cup peaches

¼ cup honeydew or cantaloupe

¼ cup grapes

  • Wash all the fruit. Remove any stems or seeds, then dice into small pieces.

  • Whip the whipping cream using an electric mixer. Alternatively, use 1 cup of whipped regular or non-dairy topping.

  • Mix the cream cheese and sugar together in a small bowl. Gently stir in the whipped cream.

  • In a transparent plastic cup, place a 1-inch layer of fruit. Follow with a 1-inch layer of cream cheese. Repeat until fruit and cheese are used. This recipe should make 2 medium cups.

Creamy Parfait

Prepare a packet of berry-flavored gelatin according to the package directions. After it has solidified in the refrigerator, mix it with an equal amount of whipped cream. Use this cream as an alternating layer with fruit, and presto! Parfait magic.
