Chocolate Banana Custard
1 Serving
Put the chocolate and butter into a microwave-safe dish. Microwave on low, in 30-second intervals, until the chocolate is melted. Stir well after each interval to see if the chocolate is sufficiently melted.
Fork-mash the banana until it is completely creamed.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg together with the sugar. When mixed, stir in the cornstarch.
Add vanilla and milk, stirring until they are completely combined. Pour in the melted chocolate and banana, stirring to combine.
Pour the mixture into a medium saucepan. Heat to scalding, reduce the heat to medium, and stir until the mixture thickens. Keep stirring, or the cornstarch is likely to become lumpy.
Once thick, pour the custard into a small heat-proof glass dish and cover it with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for several hours before serving.
