Smashed Potatoes
Smashed potatoes are typically lumpier than mashed potatoes and are often browned in a pan before serving. A 2-year-old may have fun with the one-sided crispiness of the smashed potatoes.
1 Serving
Place the potato in a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 30–35 minutes, or until soft.
Drain the potatoes. Heat the oil in the saucepan and add the potatoes again. When they start to brown, smash with a fork or potato masher. If desired, add a dash of salt and pepper while smashing.
Allow to cool before serving.
