Ham and Peaches

Make sure that honey is only served to children older than 12 months old because there's a risk of botulism for younger babies. Honey is okay for toddlers and older children.

1 Serving

3 ounces ham, cooked

½ ripe peach

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon honey

  • Wash the peach and cut in half. Peel the half you're using for this recipe, remove the pit, and dice into small pieces. Either cut a wedge out of a ham steak, use leftovers from a baked ham, or use 2 thin slices of deli-styleham.

  • Melt the butter in a medium skillet. Add the ham and sauté for several minutes, or until both sides are lightly browned. Add the honey and continue cooking another 1–2 minutes.

  • Add the diced peach to the skillet. Cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking or burning. Allow to cool; then either serve as is or fork-mash if desired.
