Tiramisu Brownies
This recipe used finely grated chocolate as a final garnish to these rich Tiramisu bars. A more traditional finish would be dusting the top with sifted cocoa powder.
INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 36 BROWNIES
- 1 cup cake flour
- ¼ cup espresso powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 12 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 pound mascarpone cheese
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup finely grated chocolate
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter 13" × 9" baking dish. Combine cake flour and espresso; set aside.
Melt butter and chocolate, stirring until smooth. Cool slightly. Beat in sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Fold in cake flour mixture. Pour into pan, spreading evenly.
In another bowl, whisk together cheese, ¼ cup of sugar, and vanilla. Pour over brownie batter in pan.
Bake 35–40 minutes, or until top is set. Cool. Dust with grated chocolate and cut into bars.
