To make Valentines hearts, you can substitute red food coloring for the green and shape the warm mixture into heart shapes.
INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 18 COOKIES
- 1 pound marshmallows
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1–2 teaspoons green food coloring
- 4½ cups cornflakes
- 1 package little cinnamon candies
- Red shoelace candy, optional
In a pan over low heat, melt marshmallows, butter, vanilla, and food coloring. Stir until well blended.
Stir in cornflakes; blend well, coating all of cereal.
Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Shape a hole in center with your fingers.
Press cinnamon candies into wreaths while still warm.
Tie shoelace candy into bows and press into warm wreaths. Let cool.
