Christmas Wreaths

To make Valentines hearts, you can substitute red food coloring for the green and shape the warm mixture into heart shapes.

INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 18 COOKIES

  • 1 pound marshmallows
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1–2 teaspoons green food coloring
  • 4½ cups cornflakes
  • 1 package little cinnamon candies
  • Red shoelace candy, optional
  1. In a pan over low heat, melt marshmallows, butter, vanilla, and food coloring. Stir until well blended.

  2. Stir in cornflakes; blend well, coating all of cereal.

  3. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Shape a hole in center with your fingers.

  4. Press cinnamon candies into wreaths while still warm.

  5. Tie shoelace candy into bows and press into warm wreaths. Let cool.
